About World Moot

World Moot is an official event of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) for Rovers and Young Leaders worldwide aged 18 to 25 inclusive.
If you are 26 or older you can join the action as International Services Team (IST).

World Moot 2021, hosted and organized by Scouting Ireland, will run from the 19th to 28th of July 2021 and is expected to have 5000 Rovers from across the world in attendance.

In addition to sending a contingent NZ is running our own pre and post tours, which are optional extras. We’re working on the details and are aiming to provide diversity between the two tours with them each being different lengths and prices, and being in different locations. Make sure to tell us where you want to go when you express your interest.

The NZ contingent fee will be set in late 2019 and will include the event fee, contingent merch, contingent badges, NZ scarves, pre-moot dinner in Ireland, contingent expenses, and probably some other things (e.g. accommodation in Ireland the night before and after). For reference, Iceland (2017 World Moot) had a $2610 contingent fee.
Flights and pre/post tours are extra on top of that.

As you can see it’s still early days in our (and your) World Moot journey. You can stay up to date by joining our Facebook group and expressing your interest.
